How to add value in change risk management based on Configuration Item field value.

I have a requirement to add the Configuration Item Criticality value in Change Risk Assessment Calculation.

We have Change Risk Assessment already defined but also need to add below values based on "Criticality" field value from Configuration Item and then calculate the risk.

Very Critical = 4

Medium Critical = 3

Critical = 2

Low = 1 .

I tried "Default Answer From Script" option but it still allows users to edit the answer. I don't want it to be editable by users.

Kindly suggest how to implement it.

Yes we active false all risk conditions.

Also even if I write the risk condition, I want Risk Assessment score to be added further depending on Criticality field value..

Risk condition will just be added for Criticality but how to add risk assessment score in it and then calculate the risk?

Hello @Dr Atul G- LNG ,

Risk Condition is not providing me option to add score further in my risk assessment score depending on Criticality value. I want both to be considered.

For example, if my risk assessment score is 10 and CI Criticality value is "Very Critical" then my Risk score should get calculated as 10 + 4 (Very Critical) = 14 and then depending on Risk threshold the Risk should get set on Change form as Low, Moderate or High. In my case risk score > 13 is moderate.

Atul:

1.How you are getting the CI criticality? (via script or ? )

2 If you use Risk condition + Assessment, then in backend both get sync and risk get populated.

Adding value in change risk management based on the Configuration Item (CI) field value involves understanding the relationship between configuration items and the potential risks associated with changes to those items. Here's a step-by-step approach guides :

  1. Identify Critical Configuration Items (CIs): Begin by identifying which configuration items are critical to your organization's operations. These might include hardware components, software applications, network devices, databases, or any other assets that are essential for delivering services.

  2. Assess Impact of Changes: Evaluate the potential impact that changes to each CI could have on your organization's operations, services, and stakeholders. Consider factors such as the criticality of the CI, its dependencies on other CIs, and the potential ripple effects of changes.
