hey @mania ,

This error occurs due to cross-scope access restrictions.

The HR Agent Workspace runs in the Global scope, while the table sn_hr_core_case belongs to the Human Resources: Core application scope. When Global tries to read this table, the access is denied because the HR Core application has not granted Restricted Caller Access to Global.

How to resolve this

You need to allow Global scope access in the Human Resources: Core application:

  1. Navigate to
    System Applications → Applications

  2. Open Human Resources: Core

  3. Go to Application → Cross-Scope Access

  4. Add a new record:

    • Source application: Global

    • Target: sn_hr_core_case

    • Operation: Read

  5. Save the record

Alternatively, if the access request already exists:

  • Set Status = Allowed

Important note

Do not modify cross-scope access unless you fully understand the impact. This change should be reviewed and approved by your ServiceNow platform or HR application owner.

Thanks, and if this solution helps, please mark the answer as Helpful so it can assist others facing the same issue.
