how to capture dashboard in update set and move to UAT/Prod

Hi, 

I created a dashboard in DEV. I would like to capture and move it to UAT. Any help on how to do?

Hello @satya30 

To move a dashboard created in DEV to UAT, you must capture it in an Update Set and promote it.

Prerequisites

• Access to both DEV and UAT instances

• Update Set migration permissions

• All related components (reports, widgets, indicators) must exist or be included

Steps to Capture and Move the Dashboard

Create or Select an Update Set (DEV)

• Navigate to System Update Sets > Local Update Sets

• Create a new Update Set (or select an existing one)

• Set it as Current

 Capture the Dashboard

• Navigate to the dashboard you want to migrate

• Open the dashboard Properties

• Click Add to Update Set
  (This captures the sys_dashboard record)

Ensure the following are also captured in the same Update Set:

• Reports used in the dashboard

• Performance Analytics widgets (if applicable)

• UI Pages or Widgets (if custom)

Review the Update Set

• Go to System Update Sets > Local Update Sets

• Open your Update Set

• Verify all required records are included

Move Update Set to UAT

• Mark the Update Set as Complete

• Navigate to Retrieved Update Sets in UAT

• Retrieve the Update Set from DEV

• Preview the Update Set

• Resolve any errors or missing dependencies

• Commit the Update Set

Validate in UAT

• Navigate to the dashboard in UAT

• Confirm all widgets and reports load correctly

• Validate user roles and permissions
