How to dynamically include 4,000+ Procurement Catalog Items in an Order Guide

We are designing an Order Guide for hardware procurement and need advice on the best architectural practice to include a large catalog dynamically.

Catalog Setup: We have a Procurement Catalog containing 4,000+ Hardware Catalog Items (pc_hardware_cat_item). Categories: These items fall under 12 distinct categories (e.g., Networking, Video Surveillance, Power & UPS). Variable Set: We have a Procurement Details variable set containing:filter_category (Reference to sc_category) manufacturer (Reference to core_company) model_number (Reference to cmdb_model, dynamically filtered by  Manufacturer)

When a user selects a category in 'category' during the Describe Needs step, what is the best practice to dynamically include and show only the catalog items matching that selected category on the Choose Options tab? Since manually setting up 4,000+ entries in the Rule Base (sc_cat_item_guide_items) isn't feasible, how do teams typically configure or automate the Rule Base to dynamically evaluate and fetch items by category?
