I would like to hide some catalog items from the service portal, but still have them available if an Order Guide is used.
Is this possible?

You can try and the 'set Visible elsewhere' check box on the catalog item form to false. You will find it in the Catalog Item form, if not edit it using the list view of the table.

Hello @Diana27 ,
Were you able to achieve this or is it still needed? As far as I know, you can try looking into ways where you would be disable the users from submitting the requests from the item on the portal, but you first need to decide if it's worth doing it.
Best Regards,
Pratyusha

Hi @Pratyush7 ,
That was a couple of years ago, but I believe we just made use of the visible elsewhere check box.
Thank you ,
Diana

Hi Pratyusha and Joe,
The visible elsewhere will work only on the Service Portal and if you look at the native UI Service Catalog page the items will still be visible under the categories mentioned.
So it is best practice to remove the category of the item itself instead of using the visible elsewhere. You will get to know...just try it...
