Reference Icons on Service Portal forms are taking default view.
I removed related list from Service Portal and Self service view.
Then also forms have Related links.
It can be done, but isn't the most intuitive part of the platform so I'm not surprised everyone is having issues with it.
Here's how:
Before you start, ensure the System Property:
glide.service_portal.reference.use_sys_popup_view
exists and has a value of true.
1. On your Servie Portal pageclick on the (i) icon next to the reference field you want to amend the sys_popup view of:
2. When the sys_popup window opens, click on the hanburger menu (top left) and select Related Lists from the menu:
3. The following question will now popup. Select 'Yes - clone the default view'
4. Now ensure your view is set to sys_popup. It does not do this automatically so be careful to remember to do this at this stage:
5. Now all you need to do is move the related lists listed on the right to the left in the slushbucket and click Save.
6. Now logout and back in, maybe also clear the cache using cache.do and test.
You should find you now have a sys_popup with no related lists for the relevant table in Service Portal 🙂
