Inquiry on Creating a Custom External Content Connector in ServiceNow

Hi,

I understand that there are out-of-the-box (OOB) plugins available in ServiceNow for external content connectors. However, I would like to know if it's possible to create a custom external content connector for integrating with a third-party application.

If so, could you please guide me on how to approach this in ServiceNow?

Yes, you can create a custom connector, but the issue is that if you run into any problems, SN support won’t be available. So, it's always recommended to use OOTB connectors as much as possible.

Hi @Dr Atul G- LNG ,

I initially thought you were referring to the Graph Connectors used in ITOM. However, I was actually talking about the AI Search - External Content Connector, which is used to display information from external sources like Google Drive that are not stored in ServiceNow.

I’ve also attached a screenshot for reference—please take a look.
