Can someone help me in understanding how to degrade to ITSM standard from ITSM PRO.

I don't think it's possible, and you will need to get help from the Now Support team and include your SN account manager. The reason is that when we use the ITSM PRO, we get many new products and plugins. Understanding those plugins and installing them is not easy, so I recommend logging a Now Support case.
