Make Assignment Group and Assigned To dependent on each other

It was easy enough to make assignment group filter assigned to with the dependent field option:

However, doing the reverse doesn't seem to work. Adding 'Assigned_to' into the assignment group's dependency doesn't work like the other. Am I missing something small, or is that out of scope and I need to look int a script?

Vice versa not possible and need a good script. Like if I put assigned to, that run a script to get all Group in array and then show if user belong to 1 group then auto populate else show in drop down which again go in loop of OOTB , these group show all members.

So it is not advisable.
