Hello all,
I am hoping to that someone can help me out, and it must have been done before. I am trying to create a defer to CAB option from an approval request.
I am struggling to progress a workflow, i have created a new condition in the Technical Approval options. The Approved and Rejected conditions work fine, but i added another option called Deferred to defer to CAB as opposed to rejecting it back to New. Attached is a screen shot of the Workflow,
I created a new option in the approvals state called Deferred - matched it to the condition so that i could select an option to approve. I am sure i missing things, as i cannot get the condition when selected to move to the next part of the workflow. What am i missing please?

Assess > If Risk None/Low > Technical Approval > IT Senior Management Approval
Assess > If Risk None/Low > Technical Approval [Deferred] > CAB > IT Senior Management Approval
Assess > If Risk Medium or Higher > CAB Approval > IT Senior Management Approval
If any stage is rejected it goes back to New and moved to assess stage again.

Let's wait for input from @Sandeep Rajput @AshishKM @Community Alums @Sanjiv Meher , as per me its required a technical thought and these are my technical Gurus.
On lighter note, is Assess not Access 😁
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

Good evening Atul.
Thank you for reaching out to some of your contacts, appreciated, and even more so for picking up on my spelling - now corrected haha! I always seem to get access and assess mixed up for some reason! 😂

Hello Atul,
I have been searching the ServiceNow Community, and came across this post: Article #14 - Additional "Approval - User" Workflo... - ServiceNow Community
In theory, this is typically what I am trying to do, except that the instruction is incomplete as it is in the screenshots which are not visible. Not sure if you have done this before?
Also, ServiceNow mentioned to me that the condition will not move forward the approval without custom scripting in the advanced section of the Technical Approval Group. Looks like i need an End Script for the condition Deferred.
