"my_home_navigation_page" user preference not resulting in desired landing page

Hi all,

it is my understanding from the ServiceNow Doc below that setting a User Preference for "my_home_navigation_page" for a specific user makes the Dashboard (for example) URL entered in the Value field on the User Preference record the landing page for that specific User when they login into ServiceNow.  However this does not appear to be working.  Is this the expected behavior?

Here's the doc:

Configure per-user landing pages in Next Experience

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/sandiego-platform-user-interface/page/administer/navigation-and-ui/task/configure-per-user-ui16-landing-page-in-next-experience.html

I unfortunately did not get a solid resolution for this issue...I recommend creating a new HI ticket and seeing if support has an updated fix for this issue.

Not sure if you guys found a solution to this.
But I was able to follow the article and configure the user preference accordingly for 1 user. The start page I wanted them to go to was a visual task board.

I configured the value of the preference to be $vtb.do?sysparm_board=0f6767f0dbdec8109************ which is the last part of the url of the visual task board.
I had to get the user to log out of the instance and back in to make it work. But it is fuctioning accordingly.
