Hi All,
I have few Questions .Please provide me your suggestions .
1. Can we use the same variable set for both Record Producers and Maintain items ?
2.I have created a variable called " x " for a record producer and i don't want that variable now to be used on record producer which i am created and i don't want to delete that variable .Can i use the same variable for different catalog items.

You can use the variable in another catalog item.
If you open the catalog variable record -there catalog item field is present which shows the name of the catalog item ,if you want to use the variable in another catalog item ,just replace the catalog item name with new catalog item name.

-> Yes

-> Since you don't want to use it you can keep that variable with higher order in that record producer and hide it using UI policy. You cannot inactivate that since you want to use it in another catalog item as well

Hi @sushma9,
1. Yes you can.
2. Not completely sure what you mean here. Is it a variable outside a variable set? You cannot reuse those.
If it is a variable in your variable set, which you want to use on catalog items, and not on record producers? You might be able to do something with a client script, but might be easier to move it to a different variable set, and only use it where needed.
