Service Portal Search Has No Results

I am trying to troubleshoot our Homepage Search widget. When I search anything from the Service Poral homepage, it results in no results found.

This is what it used to look like (minus the catalog item)

We had this set up to show any Self Service articles in our Self Service KB. This is broken in both our production and development instances. I'm not sure exactly when it broke, but we think it broke around the same time our managed service provider set up AI Search Assist on our record producers. The managed service provider is saying our previously working search function was an out of the box item but they seem to be implying we can't get back to that.

Since the end of October, we began getting sporadic reports from staff reporting issues with search results in both service portal and the console.  We are contiuing to get them. We reported this to ServiceNow but we didn't get much help.
 
We figured out that celaring cookies fixed the issue. Have you tried that?
You may need to clear your cookies in chrome if you are using chrome that is.
To clear your cookies, when in the site
  1. right click on the pad lock next to the URL/website address
  2. Click on the word 'Cookies'
  3. Click 'Remove'
  4. Refresh the browser.
  5. Search again.

We are experiencing the same issue, clearing the cookies or using a private browser did not resolve it.

We are experiencing the same issue.  After trying to clear the cache and try a private browser, we still have the same issue.  When you search from the Service Portal no results are found from the knowledge base, it only searches the service catalog items. 

Was there any word on what was causing this?  This is ocurring for us now.
