Unable to copy reference field value in Service Portal

Hi folks,

I’m trying to understand if there is any OOB way to allow users to copy values from a reference field in Service Portal.

In my case, the requirement is to copy the value from a User Reference field (see image below).

This is for a record in the CSM Portal and should work across all portals.

Any solution or work around would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

The example I shared is just for reference. Our actual requirement is to copy the value from a reference field.

My Service Desk team is using the ESC portal, where we have a reference field. After a record is created, we provide access to the Service Desk team and expect some additional fields on the record to be populated based on the reference field.

I’m trying to understand whether it is possible to copy the value from a reference field. If it is possible, could you please suggest a solution or approach for achieving this?

they can select that value and copy what's stopping them from copying?

@Ankur Bawiskar  they can't able to select and copy the value in it, that's what the issue is. Every time they need to open sys_popup view by clicking i  icon beside to the field value and from pop up they are selecting and copying the value. 

Replication steps:
Open any submitted record in any portal, which is having reference field as shown in the original post, try to perform the action - select and copy
