Vendor field for Case and Incident SLA trigger condition

I'm looking to add an SLA to Cases and Incidents involving the 'Vendor' field.  I simply want to set 'Vendor' field is not empty to start an SLA (for Cases involving Vendor support).  However, I do not see the Vendor field as an option to use to create an SLA for Cases or Incidents.  Can the 'Vendor' field be a selectable field to use as a trigger condition for Cases and Incidents?

OOB there is no Vendor field on Incident (haven't checked on Case for a long time).  See the XML for an Incident...

Usually the concept of "vendor" is handled via the core_company table where vendor is an available property.
