Im needing to do some documentation, and I always start with a glossary of terms. Shockingly, I was unable to find the definition of this most basic part of Service Now in the terminology page! Anyone know?
Thanks!!

Hey @davelafontaine, not sure if you are still active on here (does not seem like it), but could you mark an appropriate response as being the correct one. That will hopefully stop people from answering the question 9 years later, even after about a dozen previous correct answers. 🤓

Hi @davelafontaine ,
In ServiceNow, RITM stands for Requested Item.
- It’s the record created in the Request Item [sc_req_item] table when a user submits a request from the Service Catalog.
- Each RITM represents a single catalog item being requested.
- A Request (REQ) can contain multiple RITMs if the user orders more than one item in a single checkout.
- Each RITM can generate one or more Catalog Tasks (SCTASKs) for fulfillment by different teams
Thanks,
Afrith
