This is in reference to https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB3158608.
In case you can't wait for the fix in Canada....this is how our developer resolved the issue:
Create a one line CSS include to override the formatting issue that the Word plugin created
- navigate to Service Portal -> Portals
- Open the sp portal
- Open it's theme called La Jolla
- In the CSS Includes related list click New
- Name the style sheet "Word KB Plugin Image Fix" and open the style sheet picker and click New in that popup
- Create a style sheet called "word_kb_plugin_image_fix" with this CSS: img.awimg { max-width: none !important; /* only needed if portal CSS sets max-width: 100% */ }
- Submit twice for that to save to the theme. was Empty
The idea here is that the images were there the whole time, but they were shrunk to a size of 0px by 0px due to the styles that the Word plugin uses.
This little css snippet tells the page to ignore a small portion of Word’s layout to allow the image tag itself to define it’s height and width.
