Work notes not accepting large text.

Hi All,

Work notes doesn't accept large text in Change Request form. I have increased the character limit to 6000 even though it copies only less text. Please see below.

I have large text which is not more than 2000. I tried to enter in work notes and when I hit post it is showing very less text.

Please advise.

Hi Karthik,

few things you can try to check

1) copy paste the larger text and place in the work notes and save the record -> check whether it shows all the complete text

2) check for other field such as additional comments whether it is also behaving similarly

Thanks for responding. 

I have copied the large text to worknotes and it is showing the whole text but when I click "post" it is posting only less text.

I have tried in Additional comments and it behaves the same way.

The character length for the fields are 4,000 but I have only 1,800 characters.

I am not sure what the issue is here.

Hi kartikbabu

By default, multi-line text fields have a 4000 character limit. To help users see how many characters remain before they reach the limit, administrators can enable theglide.ui.textarea.character_counter property. This property adds a counter under text fields, such as the Additional Comments and Work notes fields. The counter is dynamically updated as users enter text.

It is an issue with the text. I tried with a different larger text and it worked.
