Session Code: BRE0262
Presenter(s): Andy
Company(s): State of Tennessee
Abstract:
Over the past three years, Tennessee has centralized IT services, management, and support for each of the 23 executive-branch state departments. This brought to light many inefficiencies in the IT procurement and ITAM processes causing excessive delays in procurement, deployment, and support for IT assets.
The State of Tennessee will share how they have improved the customer experience with better procurement processing times, how they managed their hardware assets, and will share their road map for software asset management. Over a two-year period, Tennessee reduced the time required to process purchase orders for new hardware requests from an average of 45 days to 3 days, and for software requests from 30 days to five days. If the requested workstation or accessory is in their "IT store," these are deployed in less than 5 days.
During this session, attendees will hear lessons learned on implementing: a streamlined procurement process, an IT hardware store, and the benefits of ITAM.
