Session Code: BRE0081
Presenter(s): Simon, Jamie
Company(s): NATS, NATS (National Air Traffic Services)
Abstract:
UK Air Traffic Control is one of the most complex air traffic control systems in the world, safely moving more than 2.5 million aircraft every year. Currently, they have a traditional siloed approach to managing the technology that controllers use to move planes in our skies. This means that it’s difficult to quickly and accurately find the root cause of an infrastructure or application issue —and that could mean flight delays. They need technology to help them manage their services so that impacting incidents either don't occur, or are rectified as quickly as possible to reduce delays. They're currently building out their new technology stack, including ServiceNow ITSM amd ITOM, fully integrated with their Air Traffic Management systems, to enable them to realize their zero-engineering-incident goal.
This session will detail their transformation methods and how they maximized the value from ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM to enable UK Air Traffic Control to start their path to a zero-incident culture.
