Abstract:

This will be a discussion of how Big Lots has moved outside of the IT box and utilized the ServiceNow platform to improve their processes in some novel areas. By focusing on business value and optimization, they've been able to transform several departments and functions including printing, pallet management, physical security, and sales audit. Big Lots implemented these changes as scoped applications and through the ServiceNow Service Catalog.

Join us as we discuss how a small ServiceNow team has brought changes to these unusual processes at Big Lots. We'll discuss core principles for our ServiceNow team. We'll walk through the process and solutions, including: need identification, requirement gathering, process review, agile development and change/go-live management. For each process, you'll receive an overview of successes, including: retirement of legacy tools, better resource alignment, increased transparency, and time savings through automation.
