Abstract: Data governance and protection can be a very complex and precise operation. Implementing and tracking privacy regimes and controls is difficult, whoever you are and whatever your size. Trying to map in different legal and regulatory requirements into the same framework, while leveraging work done to date on GDPR, CCPA, Privacy Shield or other compliance regimes, are challenges for all. In this session, we discuss how we use our own Governance, Risk, and Compliance product for mapping these obligations, tracking compliance and reporting using executive level dashboards. We have built the various privacy requirements into an effective common control framework, which can then be scaled and replicated with future legislation and obligations.
