Abstract:
As organizations adopt DevOps, they are eliminating bottlenecks from development. This can lead to operations being the team that holds up the release process. How do you balance the need for speed with appropriate risk management that is usually obtained through a managed change process? This panel will discuss innovations in this space including accelerating change throughput via automation. We’ll hear from CIBC who optimized for automated change by implementing a DevOps-linked change process in ServiceNow and saw fewer reverts from production. We’ll discuss objective risk scoring for changes, integrations to the DevOps toolchains, and how to reduce friction between development and operations.
