Abstract: Ever feel like a rebel fighting against the evil software empire? When resources are limited and compliance is being questioned, what do you do? You implement SAM Professional and become the hero. While analyzing our software spend, I learned we had a large investment in Microsoft products, so the foundation was set to start in the desktop realm with Visio, Project, and MSDN. I gathered our contract data including the latest agreements-built entitlements and used SCCM discovery to build our software model table. Dug deep into the trenches to normalize our data and show our results through license workbench. We also setup Saas for Microsoft 365 and Salesforce to show immediate savings opportunities to support our initiative.
