Abstract:
The purpose of this GM Financial project was to assist the Vulnerability Remediation process by accurately syncing the Qualys asset database with the ServiceNow CMDB in order to ensure that vulnerable items were created, tracked, and remediated on the correct ServiceNow configuration items. By utilizing ServiceNow's out-of-the-box Identification and Reconciliation Engine, along with the Identification Engine API, their team will be able to successfully match Qualys assets with existing configuration items within the ServiceNow CMDB and assign vulnerable items. Learn how creating this process has redefined all integration sources that either update or create configuration items by using the Identification Engine API. And hear how it allows GM Financial's team to manage configuration item identification changes in a centralized configuration rather than scripting new solutions when introducing new integration sources.
