Abstract:
Fairview Health Services is a large Healthcare organization located in Minnesota. In 2017 Fairview announced a merger with HealthEast; another Minnesota based healthcare company. Both organizations utilized ServiceNow, and both utilized the platform very differently. In 11 months, a team of 4 developers and 4 business analysts launched a ‘common instance’ of ServiceNow which meant both organization’s processes, workflows, and records were consistent for the first time. To do this, the team had to fundamentally change the way employees interacted with IT. Virtually every process needed to change for the common instance; which meant reengineering thousands of records and workflows.
