Feedback of first experience with Kowledge18, a bad one!

Here some feedback of the first day(s) of Knowledge18

I registration on Saturday Afternoon and normally there are no lines and it goes quickly. But now I was in shock big waiting lines!
Found out why, the registration program scans and load very very slow and took a long time to get a badge.
I hear this morning from other they shutdown Saturday en Sunday the registration for some time and it was too busy.

The badge is very flimsy but the backpack is even worse. from all those years the backpacks were great but this year is is very cheap and bad. mine ripped after I fill it with my stuff. And I am not the only complaining about this. In he waiting line for the training (as the scanners did not work) people where complaining about the badge and backpack to the ServiceNow staff (poor guys).

The breakfast (lunch) area is looking as a parking garage and there is no WiFi !:(  It is really a quick in & out. No social or networking there!

Training so far is great and working ok, only problem is there one power extension per table so bring long cables with you if you sit on the end..
And there are no bail points! so bring them! They even save on that.

Also the Knowledge18 and Content18 WiFi was gone for some time during the training, person next to me was prepared and had her own hotspot;-)

Lucky we had a early break, as when the real break time was there all the snacks (apples, bars, soda cans) were gone and taken away and no refill. Also very long lines for the coffee.

People are really complaining it is all on budget this year, no much dressing on with banners etc. the backpack, badge, no pens etc.
The experience is much less than previous years!

Even the SN staff confirm that, they say please put it on the Community....

Agree with everything state above, by far the worst Knowledge I have been to.  They have really cut a lot of things yet still charge the same price to attend. They are not even providing breakfast, unless a vendor has sponsored it and that is only Muffins and Sweet which not everyone eats.

I don't understand how we continue every year to have the same issues with wireless and instances. The reason for registration is to know the number of users that will be in each class/lab.

ServiceNow is all about the "people" now, yet the service is AWFUL.  This will probably be the last Knowledge we attend.

Lots of quirks. This is Vegas and as such. I see coffee and tea but I haven’t seen a water station. We should be drinking lots of water. I saw some during pre-con. Also, special meals were done well during K17 but not so much here. The lunch during precon was pretty pathetic for those with special diets.

The brown dispensers have water and they are on every floor so that is ok.. Even today a healthy lunch at the Expo as a Greek salade..

I saw a water container on the way to lunch. But I’m surprised they aren’t everywhere. I can’t eat dairy so that limits options. Luckily there was plenty of water at lunch even if lunch was meh.

I confirm all the points my previous writers have noted. This will be my 6th Knowledge since 2011.

The following points I am personally disappointed about:
- Backpacks are not really good
- You have to now PAY for the backpack and tshirt (for $150+ I expect more quality)
- WLAN is catastrophic, very slow if available. It went down a few times in pre-conference
- Breakfast area IS a parking lot
- No real breakfast for Tuesday-Thursday? Its the most important meal, why save here?
- The SN Events App is seriously rubbish, especially on a slow WLAN
- The Venetian is very expensive, even after getting the special deal

Stuff to improve in general:
- Please just skip the general sessions, thats 1.5h x3 where I would rather do 3 more labs. Ok, maybe make an opening session.
- Breakfast on every day
- Tell us the sessions BEFORE closing early bird registration, how can we decide if we dont know the content?
- Tell us the pre-conf content BEFORE closing registration. Buying a cat in a bag...
- Do NOT recycle content. First Lab I went to was the 1:1 content of 2017
- Use a new venue, its packed in here versus Orlando/Mandalay Bay
