Feedback of first experience with Kowledge18, a bad one!

Here some feedback of the first day(s) of Knowledge18

I registration on Saturday Afternoon and normally there are no lines and it goes quickly. But now I was in shock big waiting lines!
Found out why, the registration program scans and load very very slow and took a long time to get a badge.
I hear this morning from other they shutdown Saturday en Sunday the registration for some time and it was too busy.

The badge is very flimsy but the backpack is even worse. from all those years the backpacks were great but this year is is very cheap and bad. mine ripped after I fill it with my stuff. And I am not the only complaining about this. In he waiting line for the training (as the scanners did not work) people where complaining about the badge and backpack to the ServiceNow staff (poor guys).

The breakfast (lunch) area is looking as a parking garage and there is no WiFi !:(  It is really a quick in & out. No social or networking there!

Training so far is great and working ok, only problem is there one power extension per table so bring long cables with you if you sit on the end..
And there are no bail points! so bring them! They even save on that.

Also the Knowledge18 and Content18 WiFi was gone for some time during the training, person next to me was prepared and had her own hotspot;-)

Lucky we had a early break, as when the real break time was there all the snacks (apples, bars, soda cans) were gone and taken away and no refill. Also very long lines for the coffee.

People are really complaining it is all on budget this year, no much dressing on with banners etc. the backpack, badge, no pens etc.
The experience is much less than previous years!

Even the SN staff confirm that, they say please put it on the Community....

Next year is again the Venetian! I agree with your points.

Agreed! I liked OCCC in Orlando much better than the Venetian. Much more space.

ya I was at preconference and at least we got a book now I am in labs flipping back and forth on screens so I can do these labs...was it so hard to print a copy for us...it really isn't that many pages.  a 15 min lab is taking me long cause I will flip to the instructions and then flip to the instance and when I flip back it scrolls up.  So now I have to go find my place again and keep going.  I atleast brought my hotspot, thanks to a friend telling me so, cause the network is always down or slowing down.

WIth my first Knowledge I did not bring my tablet as it was not mention, so I had the same issue you mentioned.

The year after I did bring my tablet but they did print it all and no use for my tablet (carry for nothing). Years after that it was all printed.

This year just a few days before I travel they mention (only here and nowhere else, so very easy to be missed) bring you tablet, so lucky I had time to get all configured to bring it.

They should be really more clear and more on time if we need to bring a tablet for the lab docs or not..

I do have the feeling that Knowledge came for ServiceNow by surprise.

Session scheduler was not available as scheduled
App came very late is was (still is) buggy
Room Numbers in the App are sometimes wrong
Items in the App in my agenda have been missing
No presentations / labs avaiilable online, no printouts for attendees
WLAN was very bad at least in the morning
Badge is a joke, and very öfter not readable via the mobile readers

Overall the first Impression is pretty disappointing. But ServiceNow has now still 2 days to improve.
