Knowledge16 - My schedule, what's yours?

Hello World,

I'm going to the Knowledge16 and I have prepared my schedule and would like to share it, what's yours?

My main focuses isn't that technical but more to understand:

  • how we could improve our best practices
  • how we could become better advisers to our customers and prospects
  • what are the logic on the main new applications outside ITSM because ServiceNow is growing so fast. So ITOM, Customer Services, Risk and Security...
    • I wish I would be able to meet the product owners

We have so much choices (463 sessions in total ) so I had to make very hard choices. If someone knows Hermione Granger owl number, I would like to borrow her time-turner to attend all sessions

So, I didn't take any "lab" because they are 2h sessions and instead I tried to choose 2 x 50 minutes sessions to cover more topics. I have also to skip the Hackathon to not miss ITOM sessions but I'll say hello at least

My Calendar right now, busy days

I'll miss it at the Knowledge16

A taxi would be quicker than the shuttle.   I think last year a taxi ride from Mandalay to the airport was between $10-$15 (depending on tip) and I was at the airport within 10min.

Personally - I'm going taxi. 🙂

I took the approach of "no labs" last year, and found some sessions were hit or miss for me.   Not saying they were bad sessions, I just mean they weren't what I was expecting.   So this year I'm going nearly in the opposite direction.   Some of that has to do with some things we're hoping to implement at work in the next few months (ServiceWatch and Security Incident Management).

I guess there's one 50 minute session I have to go to on Thursday since it's mine.   The rest were hard choices, especially for the CreatorCon section.   There were a lot of interesting topics.

We're also in a step-counting competition at work, so having sessions that weren't directly next to each other was a tie-breaker at times.   (Not seriously.)
