Hi team, is there an efficient way for me to know what other articles have a link to an article I'm retiring? The reason is so that we can quickly update any and all articles that link to the retired articles to prevent users from experiencing a broken link.

I was about to post the same question. Is there a report of some sort that can be created to show what other pages link to an article?
Thanks.

It depends 🙂 If you use the Related articles widget whenever you cross reference an article the solution is really easy and straight forward as you can see it in the related article section
Otherwise you need to run a search for the article number in the article body (and the workflow is published) as the links' content is also searched

Thanks - Related articles has not been used. Going forward that's definitely the best idea. I need to fix some older articles that point to a retired page but I need to find them first. People have inserted links in a variety of ways - some copied the URL when viewing a page, some inserted the permalink.

If they used permalinks, the good news that the the KBA number will still be part of the article body (even if eventually the link is not showing up) and it can be queried.
If they copied the URL with a view link pointing to a specific version of the article that will be challenging and that would require kind of to review all articles. Fingers crossed they used the permanlink!
