Add Attachment button on Flag Article/Leave Feedback pop-up box

I have a request from the our help desk asking to see if they can allow attachments on the Leave Feedback/Flag Article pop-up box. I saw another post about a year ago about this however it never go answered so asking this question again.

Has anyone been able to find a way to add an attachment button to the Leave Feedback/Flag Article pop-up?

If it was possible would there be any issues with attaching screenshots related to size/space issues that it would store on the feedback task?

Thank you.

I haven't done this myself as my opinion is this could encourage your users to raise incidents as knowledge feedback rather than through your incident channels. We do allow users to provide attachments as feedback only once the feedback task is raised. This may be seen as slowing the process a little but in my opinion its best to ask a user for a specific screenshot rather than allow them to send you anything as it is unlikely to be something really useful without giving the user some specific direction in response to their feedback.

I posted an Idea to ServiceNow to implement this enhancement. If it gets enough upvotes, they'll probably implement it: View Idea Page - Idea Portal (servicenow.com)

Hi

We've also been hoping to see this enhancement come at any moment, but it doesn't seem to be a priority.

We asked our Dev to create something for this to work but it seems to involve more work than I originaly though see we were not able to act on this for now.

So for now, what we did is to train our operators.

We showed them how to acces the feedback task after they flag an article and in that record they are able to add images and files.

It's a bit more navigation, but it's a nice workaround at no cost.
