Authors / User Criteria and Ownership Groups

We have Ownership groups.
WE set parameter so that authors and revisers  retain their permissions to edit the article if they are not a member of the ownership group.

  • glide.knowman.ownership_group.override = true
  • glide.knowman.ownership_group.enabled = true

What we noticed if we have user criteria on the article that the author does not meet they will lose their ability to update the article?

Is this the accepted behavior ?

Our user case is we have the team that creates the content for shop keepers.
Those article should only be viewed by the shop keepers. The team that creates the articles are not shop keepers.  We want people to edit the articles  but not view them via the portals. The platform/classic view is ok.

Hi JulietChicago
The properties you mentioned above in my opinion simply serve to extend the author's ability to manage the article when the article has an ownership group assigned.

The prerequisite for being able to edit an article is to be able to see it, so I find it difficult for you to solve the problem with user criteria

Instead, I think it is possible to limit the visibility of the article from the portal (sp) or (esc) by appropriately configuring the AI search engine. e.g. by defining an appropriate search source
