Connected content issue

Hi all,

While cleaning up articles to ensure they are tagged with the correct Portal topics, I came across an issue.

Some articles show a Portal topic on the article page, but when I go to Connected Content to remove it, the topic does not appear there. This makes it difficult to remove the incorrect tag.

To work around this, I had to reassign the same topic to the article and then delete it from Connected Content.

I would like to understand why the Portal topic isn’t visible in Connected Content and whether there is a more efficient way to remove incorrect topics.

Best,

Gopu

@gopunkutty  - You’re not doing anything wrong—this is a bit of a known oddity.

This usually happens when the portal topic was added indirectly like from an older setup or migration. The article still shows the topic, but Connected Content only lists direct, active associations, so it doesn’t show up there to remove.

Your workaround of re-adding the topic and then removing it is actually the safest and most practical way to fix it. The alternative is editing the relationship directly in the backend, which generally isn’t worth the risk.

If this helps you please give a thumbs up!
