feedback tasks assigned to ownership group but assignee is not a member of the group

We use the Knowledge Management module.

A feedback task is created . We are using ownership groups.

The feedback tasks is assigned to the ownership group and the manager of that group.

When they reassign the feedback tasks they noted they see the author of the article in list of assignees even though the assignee is not a member of the ownership group.

We can not figure why we have assignee that is not members of the ownership group.

It looks like it is related to the override reference qualifier on the assigned_to field for the kb feedback table. In that function, it runs through some logic and depending on the enviroment it's going to push back "

users.push(current.feedback.article.author)" even though they may not be part of the group. That is in the KBOwnershipGroupSNC script include. So you may want to review that logic and see if it is aligning to what you are seeing and if you need to adjust...although that would be away from that is provided OOTB.
