Hi @sayan3 ,
I believe it depends on what you mean by export article in word format....and sharing the documentation IS necessary as it not only outlines the specific capability but provides you with more information related to the word add in that you might find useful :-).
If you review View a Knowledge Article in Microsoft Word, you may notice that is suggests that you can 'view' an article that is already in a KB in this add in. If that meets your req above related to export, then that should provide you the detail you need.
We are not yet using this capability as we tried historically and had challenges getting it to work. We are currently working towards a greenfield implementation and I do have this plug in in our requirements with high hopes that it will prove useful and provide the benefits we are hoping for based on the documentation.

@sayan3, this link can be of help to understand the word plugin: Add in Microsoft Word to access Knowledge articles
And here is my experience with this plugin: Recently, we attempted to enable the word plugin to automate the content checklist before articles are published. However, we encountered several challenges. For this approach to work effectively, there needs to be a shared space accessible to all authors, as each article edited through the Word plugin is saved there. This would allow other authors to make changes if needed.
However, we found this solution less practical, as it essentially creates a duplicate of the article in Word format within the shared space, without adding much value. There's no benefit in having redundant copies of the content. Additionally, another issue arises: if someone edits the article outside of the Word plugin, the changes won't be reflected in the Word document, which creates a risk of inconsistency between the two versions.

@RaghuBellamkond can we export kb article as a word file from ServiceNow, is this plugin helpful for this?
Also do we need admin account for office 365 to upload xml manifest file or normal account would be sufficient to do that?
It would be helpful if you provide path for upload manifest xml in office 365
Thanks,
Sayan

@sayan3If your question is whether there will be an "Export" button on the article after installing this plugin, the answer is NO. The plugin doesn’t work in that way. Instead, it functions in the opposite direction, allowing you to see the ServiceNow add-in within the Word document. When you log into NOW through the add-in, you can search for knowledge articles (filter on KB level), create new ones, and edit existing ones.
