I've seen the 2017 post about how to do this, but unfortunately the solution is no longer available. I'm looking to link directly to a specific knowledge category from our customer portal in Utah. Is there any way to do that?

Certainly. We've launched a customer portal for ServiceNow where they can enter in tickets. Right now we have a series of "Category" tiles that are leading directly to the form. What we want is to link directly from the tile to the associated knowledge category.
EXAMPLE: Customer clicks the "Animals" tile and the page opens a separate tab directly to the knowledge base's "Animals" category.
I wasn't sure if there was any way to generate a link that points to the top level knowledge category.

The format should be similar to the following where you would replace the bolded sections:
https://[yourinstance].service-now.com/[portal]?id=kb_category&kb_category=[sys_id of KB category]

Was there ever a resolution to this? I have the same request for direct link access to a private Knowledge Base category in Vancouver.
