Pasting images into Knowledge Articles

Is there any way we can add a feature to rename an image when utilizing the drag and drop feature within Tiny MCE to make it easier for my authors? Organizing and renaming 10 graphics named pasted_image.png gets confusing and my authors don't want to take the time to add them in correctly (it's just easier to cut and paste).

We do have limitations on the image size set by the organisation, to enable them to be displayed on ”any” devices. Since visually impaired should still be able to see details, Show attachments is enabled. This way they can open up larger images by clicking on attachments, easily found by their names.

in fairness, we’ve had issues with the copy/paste over time as it in some cases does not seem to properly attach them to an article. Having a user flag an article for images not being visible/incorrect is easier to handle if they can actually ”name” it, instead of having them describe it (”14th from the top/green/depicting user interface”).

I tend to just save all the images, with appropriate names, to a file on my computer or our organization's shared drive, then upload them where they are needed.

I find that we get less broken images and it is easier to find an image if needed.  Sometimes with copy paste or with importing from word we end up with issues like having a logo appear where we don't want it, broken images, duplicate images.

Not sure if it happens elsewhere but we do loose all images/graphics in KB articles that were created by uploading a word-file as a policy document in compliance workspace. So I can follow your recommendation - all articles with manually uploaded pimages are not loosing them.
