Tokyo: Provide a Replacement Article

Hi, all -

I am trying to use the Tokyo feature to provide a replacement article when retiring an article. It seemed like the feature should be automatically available after upgrade, rather than having to change any settings - however, I have been unable to use it. Today I met with the manager who has the admin rights and we weren't able to find much. He did note that we are not using out of the box templates - wondering if that could be the reason we aren't seeing the functionality?

Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you!

There is a system property that needs to be turned on:

glide.knowman.enable_article_replacement_on_retire

We enabled it in our DEV instance and are testing it.  We found that it works great with Classic UI but does not work in a workspace (Agent or Service Operations). In fact, we have found that with it enabled, then the Retire button does NOTHING in either workspace.

I get frustrated with things that work differently in a workspace and I report it to SNOW support only for them to come back with 'by design' or PRB and coming soon in a future release.

I commented on the docs site the other day suggesting that they include the UI in the documentation so that we know which UI is supported for which features.

The Retire Replacement feature has since been added/corrected to work in Service Operations Workspace.

Yes, I too observed and verified that today, however if its custom workspace, I hope it can be made working right ... if its not working already - upon clicking on retire form menu in workspace
