Catalog best practices for MSP

Looking for any tips/tricks/things to consider for service catalog in an MSP.

Getting to go live with our first of many catalogs...

Thought setting a condition of Domain = xxx on each workflow would ensure domain separation but it seems to just ensure the workflow fires on every item in that domain.

Looking for any input or advice from all you wonderful MPS gurus.

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for your reply. I need to make my service catalog as language specific to client language.

I have created many catalogs nearly 60 all were in english language. How can I convert this to specific language?

Please help me on this.

Hi Deepak,

thanks for your reply.

I have a query in email notification on MSP instance. My client will be using the OOB notifications, currently it is disabled. Should i need to add any condition with company name or domain and enable the notifications or how should I proceed with email notifications on MSP instance.

Please help me.

Hi Kumaran,

Yes, you can create a domain specific notification in MSP.

OOB notifications are available in global domain. You need to apply override to them if you want to do any modifications to them with domain specific. For that you need to change the domain first to the domain where you want to apply override to the notification. when you change domain and save the OOB notification in global domain with your altered version, it creates a new copy specific to your domain by applying override to notification.

Be very careful while applying override. do it in some sandbox or dev instance first and test it completely to check whether it is not affecting any other domains. Then only move to PROD
