Hi community,
Do you know if there are any impacts in upgrading Ui Builder plugin to a newer version while we have an experience in development?
We've created an experience, and it has couple pages already. We would like to upgrade Ui Builder, however, we are not sure if this will impact anything we already created.
Any recommendations?
Cheers.

I would suggest not to upgrade it as of now. Wait for some time till the version gets stability. The UI has changed quite a lot with the newer version of UIB which makes it bit difficult to navigate through all the items, script binding etc. While Your work in development, it will be little difficult for you at the beginning.

We're about 10 versions into UI Builder at this point, so I'm not sure what you would be waiting. At this point, many of the UI changes to UIB itself are based on customer feedback and making the builder easier to learn and use. There is probably a slight risk to upgrading with development in-flight, but our general advice is to upgrade UIB whenever the quarterly store updates are available.

I have seen very small things which is not quite user friendly, such as the configured dynamic binding to some components get emptied out. when you click on any component from the tree, the save button gets enabled and the preset window opens up without any reason and as the UIB page once saved captures everything in the macroponent it's not very easy to compare the code changes at one go.
In my personal opinion, I find the UIB interface in Washington very user-friendly, may be it'll take some time to get acquainted with the UIB as a store application after updating which the UI completely revamps itself to something new altogether.

Hi @Dibyaratnam, I haven't observed most of those issues, so it may be something local to a specific instance or setup. For the most part, we're making small changes to UI Builder to make it easier to learn and use. Also, the version delivered in the Washington release is a store version so (and I know you didn't say this) there is no need to do any migration, just update the UIB app in the app manager.
