I created a new custom workspace

I need the homepage to be the same as the homepage on the service operation workspace landing page

I think when you create the new workspace you see the landing path as "home" like below that should be the homepage of your workspace. If you do not see it then you can simply create a page variant of existing SOW home page. See the 2nd print screen for the same.

It doesn't help me, I want to take the template and put a letter in my workspace

You have to create a duplicate variant of the SOW landing page and map it with the custom landing page of your workspace.
