Record page variants are using the Default view from the Home screen lists and from the Lists Menu in the SOW Workspace until refreshed. As you can see from the attached I have defined the view and forced view for our variant record page but they are ignored until refreshing the page. Once refreshed I have the correct Related List and available fields.
Also if I open directly from the "Open" button on the page edit screen it is correct, and in the page preview too.
Has anyone run into this issue of the defined views on the Record pages being ignored until refreshed?
Thanks, Jim

For anyone that is interested I just created/modified "sow" views for my Variant record pages(Incident, Case, Problem, Change and Catalog Task and it is working as expected. I do however define my form layouts in the "sections" JSON which allows me to move items on the fly as needed. As long as the "sow" view includes that field it will be rendered in the correct section via the JSON.
One thing that I found very misleading about this process is the ability to define your view and forced view in the Record data resource(thanks @Michael Fry1 for the clarity). From what I just experienced I'm not really sure what this functionality does and why it is there. I would think that if you have a view defined at the page level and you cannot override it then all this does is create confusion. If anyone knows why this is a feature I would appreciate the feedback.
