workspace - quick filter

In a traditional list, I could click on the magnifying glass and get a search box at the top of each column - nice and quick

Is there a way to do this in the agent workspace ?

I can see some faffing about to create filters (why make it so hard compared to the old list + filter), but nothing about readding this functionality.

Please don't tell me that this is another retrograde they are making to the system

I agree however, you can still achieve field level filter in workspaces too by clicking on 3 dotted vertical line next to each column. 

Good part is it allows multiple operations to filter. In traditional list, I believe we can apply filter only for Startswith, contains, equal or not equal conditions. but, this new filter allows multiple operators.
