With AI and Generative AI making waves, ServiceNow introduces "Now Assist" to transform how we use the platform. This cutting-edge tool leverages AI to redefine your experience on how we engage with the platform.

As you know, "Now Assist" is a growing set of AI tools powered by large language models (LLMs). These tools help perform various tasks based on their initial training and design. Currently, the generative AI features available are:

  • Case or Incident Summarization
  • Chat Summarization
  • Resolution Notes Generation
  • Work Order Task Closure Summarization
  • Now Assist in AI Search
  • Flow Generation
  • Now Assist in Virtual Agent

After gaining full access to the instance with Now Assist, I decided to dive into its features. I found that the Now Assist Admin Console was the perfect place to start. I’ve explored Now Assist and am excited to share my findings. Here’s a look at the "Now Assist Admin Console":

As the name says, the "Now Assist Admin" console simplifies management with quick access to set up, configure, and monitor Now Assist features in ServiceNow.

This is one place for you to administer your Now assist skills and capabilities and it takes only 4 steps to start using your Now assist admin console to get complete benefits.

 1. Start your Journey by installing the plugins from the admin console

2. Activate the Skills you would like to explore - In My case, I have started using Now Assist for ITSM and Now Assist for creators

3. . Review your Now Assist account settings and configuration - The New "Now assist panel" is so good, that we will explore it in an upcoming article. Even, The Now Assist Admin console Settings page lets you check your account details. You can see the available plugins and check the status of data sharing for your instance.

4. Monitor and analyze skill performance. for ex: Use the Overview page metrics to check summaries, performance, and any issues. The example below shows the current plugin status and the number of active skills

The Now Assist Admin console has a checklist on the Overview page to help you set up and use Now Assist applications and features.

Here is the checklist -
