In a recent thread a user was asking about the best way to close "To Dos" that had gone past their due date.
Here I demonstrate how to accomplish this using Flow Designer and NOT ONE LICK OF JAVASCRIPT, making the desired function within reach of non-devs.
BIGGER PICTURE
Many who grew up on ITIL frameworks would balk at the idea that a task should be closed IMMEDIATELY on due-date, but think about other kinds of work. Consider "weekly duties". Maybe you've got the same X tasks to perform every week, but if they're not done by week's end, they close disgracefully (cancelled/incomplete), then next week's tasks are generated.
There's good reason to know how to do this, as ServiceNow expands far beyond IT.
