New Developer Instance stuck in Hibernation

I could not find the correct location for this inquiry.  My PDI is stuck in hibernation mode.  It has been over 8 hours.  Is it true that you cannot even get anyone from SNow to "unstick it?"  I am a Developer that is creating integrations from ServiceNow to other third-party products.  I JUST got something working yesterday and now today my instance is stuck.  And they took away the ability for us to make backups?  I do not understand.  We work in PDIs to further ServiceNow's reach.  I would think that the least that they could do is provide a way for us to "unstick" an instance without having to start all over from scratch?!  Are there any other recourses besides requesting a new instance????

Unfortunately no other option other than waiting or requesting a new instance again. ServiceNow is no longer providing support on PDIs. Going forward take your instance backup regularly to avoid losing work.

Hi @SoniaG

The short answer is no. as you might know, there is no support available from ServiceNow in relation to PDIs, hence you’re limited to two options:

  •  wait, it should come online again after some time.
  •  If you get tired of waiting. Release your instance and request a fresh installation. Note! Any work that hasn’t been backed up will be list for good.

Please also note, that PDIs are a free service available for everybody to learn and play around - not to further ServiceNow's reach.

Thank you for confirming what I thought -- that there is no support for PDIs.  All I was trying to say is that most people do not go in there to play just for fun.  Our ultimate goal is to extend ServiceNow's functionality by writing applications, integrations, etc.

FYI -- There is a notice this morning that they are aware of the issue with PDIs.  I was able to submit a Support Ticket so maybe that helped make them aware of the issue.  Exactly how do I take a backup?  I have not been in ServiceNow for awhile now and I noticed that there is no longer an option in ServiceNow to take a backup.
