Invoking NowAssist skills in virtual agent designer

Hi Community,

I am currently exploring the possibility of leveraging Now Assist Skills for SAM within Virtual Agent Designer.

I have enabled and activated the following skills from Now Assist Admin:

  • Product Compliance Summarization
  • Recommended Actions

As shown in the screenshots, I cannot see and configure these skills as actions within the Virtual Agent topic flow.

My Requirement

I want to invoke these Now Assist skills during a Virtual Agent conversation flow and display the generated output directly to the end user.

The expected flow is:

  1. User provides a software/product name.
  2. Virtual Agent retrieves the relevant software compliance record.
  3. Virtual Agent invokes Product Compliance Summarization.
  4. The generated summary is displayed to the user.
  5. Based on user selection, Virtual Agent invokes Recommended Actions and displays the suggested next steps.

Questions

  1. Are NowAssist skills Product Compliance Summarization and Recommended Actions officially supported for execution within Virtual Agent Designer conversations?
  2. If yes, what is the recommended approach to invoke these skills and capture their response/output variables?

Refer: Generate product compliance summaries by using Now Assist for SAM 

 

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Workspaces > Software Asset Workspace.
  2. Select the License usage view.
  3. Select a publisher.
  4. On the Publisher details page, select a product.
  5. Select Summarize
