Hello San Francisco SNUG members!
I wanted to see if we can find a customer to host the SF SNUG event in early November. We expect to have about 50 attendees and would love to feature one of our fantastic customers located in the San Francisco area!
Hosting a SNUG is a fantastic way to showcase and share a company’s use of ServiceNow in their unique environment with other local customers. Considerations and best practices associated with hosting a SNUG event are:
Considerations:
Capacity: We are expecting ~50 people attend a SNUG event, but this can vary slightly. The ServiceNow marketing lead will provide ongoing registrations updates once a date is chosen and we get the word out! If we reach capacity, we hold off on new registrations.
Security: Will your security team allow for non-employees to be on-site? Is the room on a floor that requires badge access?
Parking: Is there free parking available? Do attendees need a code or special access instructions?
Power, AV, and internet access: Is there power and AV resources for speakers? Is there power and internet access for attendees?
Catering: Is there an on-site catering option? Are there timing or other restrictions to consider i.e.: alcoholic beverages for happy hour (OPTIONAL)?
Best Practices:
· Share space seating options with steering committee during planning
· Share location specifics (building numbers/names) including parking instructions
· Advise on where to place signs to help attendees find the location/nearest restrooms
· Advise on where to set up (2) welcome tables for ServiceNow and the sponsoring partner
· Provide reception desk(s) AND SECURITY with information pertaining to the event.
*we are happy to help with this by providing a pre-written email
· Make connections with internal groups we need to work with (catering, security, facilities)
· AV Requirements: Projector, screen, microphone, speakers, multiple plugs/outlets, and high bandwidth internet
PLEASE reach out to tracy.obrien@servicenow.com or tricia.tran@servicenow you have questions or are interested in hosting!
