USEM Reference Guide - What's Changing for IT Remediation Owner Personas
If you've recently upgraded to Vulnerability Response v30x with USEM functionality, your IT Remediation Owners may be asking: "Why do I now see three different places to do my job?"
With the introduction of the Security Exposure Management Workspace, Remediation Owners now have three distinct experiences available to them — the Classic UI, the IT Remediation Workspace, and the new Security Exposure Management Workspace.
To help, we've put together a quick reference guide (attached) that walks through all three experiences with screenshots, explains what each one is and clarifies which one you should be using going forward with USEM (VR v30x).
The goal of the guide, is to help with enabling Remediation Owners as part of the transition from VR to USEM (VR v30x) and clarify what the future direction is.
This can be used as part of broader communications, organizational change management, internal Intranet sites, internal KB Articles in ServiceNow for reference, etc.
Key concepts for the Remediation Owner Persona in USEM, covered in the attached guide:
• A quick view of the 3 experiences and how to navigate them
• What's new in the Security Exposure Management Workspace (Findings tab, Assets tab, type filters)
• A side-by-side comparison to help users understand the differences at a glance
• Clear guidance on the future direction ahead with USEM for Remediation Owner personas
