Native view list view and form view vs workspaces

After making configurations (list/form) native UI, we are not seeing that for the same table when viewed in workspace, so wondering if we have to do them all over again in workspace?

short answer is yes. Native view and workspace are two different things, hence you need to configure the workspace view also.

This is only for look and feel type items right like list view etc, backend functionality is the same?

yes, backend is same for everything & but you need to configure SOW if needed.
